For more than half a century, Harwich Junior Theatre has excelled in bringing live theater of the highest caliber to diverse audiences throughout Cape Cod. Recently the Harwich Chamber of Commerce selected us for their Outstanding Organization of the Year award. Cape Cod Life Magazine gave us their Top Theater of '08 award, as well.

Our dedication to inspiring an appreciation of the performing arts in young people and families informs everything we do. When she founded Harwich Junior Theatre in 1951, Betty Bobp knew that "live theater can transform lives" because when people of all ages create together "the potential for growth is boundless." Her conviction that "children will live up to the highest expectations every time" guided her work in theatre education for young people.

Today Harwich Junior Theatre honors the pioneering work of Betty Bobp through our extensive scholarship program, named in her honor. Our scholarships give families of limited financial means, children in foster care and children raised by grandparents the chance to come to Harwich Junior Theatre for classes in live drama. No child has ever been turned away because of financial considerations. Through this important initiative we honor the legacy of Betty Bobp.

Please help us in funding our scholarships so that even more children can benefit from our classes. Children are applying for scholarship aid in far greater numbers than ever before and we cannot disappoint them.
