Dear Friend of HJT,

We need your help more than ever before. Last month we were informed that our Massachusetts Office of Tourism grant award was slashed by $14,000. The summer brought in $8,000 less in box office revenue then projected. Ticket revenue only covers 50% of our operating costs. It is vital to our mission that we keep ticket prices affordable for all. We are $20,000 down in education programming and have had many requests for scholarship assistance to our classes this year. At HJT we never turn a child away. Our historic facility requires constant love and care. In order to maintain these traditions and treasured services we must ask for your help.

On a positive note, we have mounted twelve Full Scale Productions attended by more than 20,000 people. Thousands of children on Cape Cod came to our marvelous school day matinees. Our highly acclaimed production of Tuesdays with Morrie toured to Senior Centers in Southeastern Massachusetts. We also presented The Wrestling Season, a play addressing adolescent issues, in High Schools throughout our region. Our educational outreach programs brought HJT teaching artists with 40 programs to 17 schools on Cape Cod. HJT was named "Organization of the Year" by the Harwich Chamber of Commerce and we won the SCORE Award! HJT was also voted Top Theater on Cape Cod by both Cape Cod View and Cape Cod Life magazines.

We could not have achieved these successes without your support. Foundations have been most generous, but we must raise additional funds from our patrons - you!
